Wayne Village Pottery Loon Clay Ornament

At Wayne Village Pottery, that lovely stuff known as Maine “blue” clay is dug out of our back field. The early redware potters also used this kind of clay, and we enjoy following their tradition of creating handmade pottery which is useful, affordable and decorative. 

Laughing call, mournful wail at night, graceful shape, unique black and white patterns: the elegant Loon is unforgettable. Both Loons are doting parents, often carrying the chicks on their backs. The bright red eye helps them see while diving deep for food. This ornament will adorn your holiday tree or wreath and hang happily in your window all year long.

All ornaments come with ribbon or wire for hanging. Each ornament is crafted by hand. Because of this, no two are exactly alike.
