The Robins of Bell Farm: From Nestlings to Flight

In the quiet of April, a robin pair chose the side of Bell Farm Shops to build their nest. Two blue eggs soon followed, cradled in twigs and care. By May, tiny beaks broke through—life unfolding in feathers. Now, they grow swiftly, preparing to take flight on spring's warm breeze.
On April 13th, we noticed a robin pair beginning to build their nest along the side of Bell Farm Shops. By the 19th, their little nursery—woven with care—was complete. A week later, on April 26th, while the mother was off gathering mealworms from a nearby feeder, we caught a quiet glimpse inside: two perfect blue eggs, like tiny treasures.
New life arrived on May 6th with the hatching of the first chick, and the second followed on May 7th. By Friday, May 9th, both nestlings were thriving—tiny beaks wide open, reaching for nourishment from the world.
We captured their image on May 10th, and by May 13th, they had nearly tripled in size—feathers beginning to form, their eyes more alert. Soon, perhaps within 14 to 16 days of hatching, they’ll leave the nest to meet the sky.
This is the robins’ first clutch of the season, and with luck, there may be one or two more before summer’s end.
